If you’re planning on refurbishing your kitchen or perhaps even building one from scratch, you’ll want to make sure you have all the essential kitchen appliances to make it the perfect kitchen.
The kitchen is one of the most used rooms in a house, with many people reporting they use it more than their bedrooms, bathrooms and even their gardens. So if you’re going to be spending all your time in a kitchen, why not make it the best it can be?
A modern kitchen today can cost tens of thousands of dollars. When you add in the cupboards, painting, cieling and flooring, eletricians, plumbers and all the other kinds of things you need sorting out, installing a kitchen is going to set you back.
So the first thing you’re going to need to do is plan a budget for your new kitchen. You need to stick to your budget otherwise going over can ruin your kitchen experience; no one wants to be left with an overpriced kitchen they can’t afford to have and the feeling of debt hanging over them.
A good budget should have some emergency funds set aside. In case your builders disappear, or perhaps during the work a fault is discovered with the plumbing and it’s going to cost a bit more. The emergency budget is there to cover those things- if you don’t end up using it at the end, then you can splash out on some shiny new kitchen toys.
Top 5 Kitchen Appliances
The dishwasher will save you from many arguments with your partner. The amount of times I have argued with my other half over whose turn it is to wash up exceeds the number of stars in our galaxy. You want to get a dishwasher that can fit in your kitchen as there are many sizes. You can get super small ones which are very compact- but you won’t be able to get much washed. They are good for single households.
Not to toot my own horn here but my Rangemaster Cooker is the best thing I ever brought. It’s the best in quality for cookers and it comes with all the bells and whistles you could ever need. There’s great warranty on Rangemasters too, so if anything ever goes wrong you can get them fixed free of charge. They also are very stylish and work with most kitchen designs.
Moving into 2020, smart Fridges are the next big thing. Equipped with a digital screen, these smart fridges allow you to turn your fridge into a mini-computer. You can even set them up to allow you to watch T.V. on them. There are also monitoring services, which allow you to livestream into your fridge to see the contents of it (handy if you’re out and about) and they are extremely spacious in size.
The only issue is they cost $5000+, and spending that kind of money on a fridge might be a little out of your budget.
They are quite old-school and rarely seen in modern homes in the UK, but a food disposal system can work well and prevent stinky drains from happening. Just be careful with them! They are good for small amounts of food disposal, but don’t go throwing an entire chicken down it.
These usually come with kitchen appliances such as cookers, since when you’re cooking away you will likely need an extraction fan to suck up all that heat and cooking fumes away. They are definitely needed in any modern kitchen and you’d be doing yourself a diservice not getting one.
